Wifi thermostat help

Hello,

I have installed an Amazon wifi thermostat.

My previous thermostat has a W and R wire only, so I used a c wire adapter that runs to an outlet which connects to a wall outlet.

My boiler doesn't have a C terminal to connect the blue wire to.

After I completed the install i am not able to turn on the heat.

More info needed. what is the model number of the heater and or the control that the thermostat wires are connected to? Also, what is the thermostat model number and the model number of the C wire adaptor?

if it is this C wire adaptor

you connect it to the thermostat, not to the heater. The problem with these devices is that they do not print the instructions and put them in the box, you need to download the step by DIY instructions from the APP. There are no wiring diagrams to find online easily.

If you have the plug in transformer that has 2 wires leaving the adaptor that you plug into the wall outlet, this is the most common way to connect the wires

The plug in transformer gets connected to Rc and C on the thermostat

The heater wires get connected to R and W. If there is a jumper connecting Rc and R, remove it. If there is a setup menu that asks you if you have 2 transformers, or if you have separate heating and cooling controls, the answer is YES.
