mandatory Nozzle list

Does any one have a list of minimum required nozzles to have on service calls and annual burner service? The guy I work for doesn't really carry a big selection. There is a debit
card in the van and I can grab whatever nozzles I need in the morning on my days. However, I don't have enough experience to get that right yet.
My plan is to build my own set to carry and replace them on his dime at the end of the week. I already have good starter to build on. Obviously having every nozzle available would be great but that might be over budget.
Thanks
Robert

What nozzles a tech needs will depend on what systems he works with. I keep stock of every one I use and so I have two nozzle boxes in van (total capacity of 220). Eventually you get enough stock to be able to find one close enough to make most any residential burner burn clean and proper. Probably I don't have some nozzles that another tech may use often but yes, there are certain ones that are very common, like a .65 80* A.

It depends the equipment you are working on. I work on mostly residential stuff, I like to have pretty much all sizes from .5 to 1.5 available in hollow and solid pattern, 60, 70 and 80⁰. I use a fair bit of various Delevan W nozzles too. I don't use many 45⁰ nozzles except for some .85 45B.

Best thing to do is keep a list of what you uee over the course of a year and base your stock from that.
