Pressure regulator

The 15 psi pressure regulator I have on my aqua balance boiler system I believe is failing because the pressure on the gauge will drop down to 10 and then I tap on the regulator and it will come back up where it belongs for a while or I can open up the regulator and manually increase the pressure.
Is this a sign that the regulator needs replaced?

Why is it losing pressure? Once the system is filled, air removed, the fill valve need not operate
Must be a slow leak somewhereBob "hot rod" Rohr

It's just as likely you could have a bad gauge. Install a gauge on a boiler drain or elsewhere to check your pressure gauge.0

I thought it had developed a leak a couple months ago a professional came out and looked at the entire system bled the air out and couldn't find any leaks, maybe the gauge is reading wrong but it has failed out once for not enough pressure to operate. Unless the expansion tank is bad I don't know what's going on with this system?0
