Same question : Over capacity and short cycling

I have a Tudor system serviced by American Standard circa 1960's 3B-J2, 300K btu. One burner has been off forever so in fact it is a 225K boiler. My EDR is 445 / 107K btu. There is a Hoffman 75 on the return line. The pressuretrol was set at ~ 1.2. I just turned it up to 1.5 to see if that makes a difference. All the radiators heat well and the fuel bill isn't crazy high. As I sit here listening to it the boiler turns on for five minutes every fifteen minutes. The outside temperature is unusually high right now about 50 degrees. The thermostat is probably at 62. Should/could another burner be shut off? A separate question I have relates to the LWCO, M&M #67. I do run some water through it every couple weeks but it has never been cleaned. How low do I let the water go to see if the shutoff function works?

While the burner is firing, if you open the valve on the LWCO, M&M #67, it should drain enough water fast enough to drop the float and shut the burner off, if you gave a auto feeder it should have a delay so it won't add water. If it doesn't shut off the burner it needs to be cleaned.0
