LEGIOMIX® Electronic mixing valve

@hot_rod

In reading the Legiomix docs, It states, " besure to have "anti-scold" device on every fixture to prevent skin burns" ..... when using its high temperature (180 F) legionella kill mode.

I think most motels have shower cartridges with the anti-scold feature, but almost never see anti-scold at the vanity faucet.

...... your experience in this?

Thanks!

    If you use the Legionella mode, during that period of time the water will exceed the suggested 120 safe temperature. The point of use ASSE 1070 valves are the final protection at the fixtures.

    ASSE 1016 listing may be on tub and shower valves with a limit stop set at 110.
    Type P is a pressure balance valve
    Type T is a thermostatic
    Type T/P is a thermostatic/ pressure balance

    More expensive valves like Grohe for one, tend to be T/P

    ....... and would you agree "most" motel sink faucets are NOT thermally protected?
