Dripping sound from Gas Furnace

Hello- I have an old gas furnace and I have been hearing a dripping sound after the unit runs. The furnace is from 1979 so I know it’s super old and I’m preparing to replace it. But until then, can someone give me some advice on how to resolve the dripping? I am thinking it is condensation but not sure where to start with it.

Probably the metal contracting. Look inside the vent and the heat exchanger with a good light and see if you see condensation. There shouldn't be any if it is installed properly.

Should have a good tech look at it anyhow to make sure the heat eaxchanger is intact and everything else is safe. Also should have a working low level carbon monoxide monitor.
