Shower Pressure Balancing screw.

My bathtub is only giving hot or cold water. Which way should I move the screw on the pressure balance to hot/warm/cold water? Shower handle is Kohler.

    Is it a Kohler RiteTemp valve like this. Is this a new problem, has it worked in the past?
    It may need a new cartridge. The stop collar is really to limit how hot it goes.
    Loosen the set screw, turn the valve to the temperature you want and tighten. Make sure the water heater is up to temperature first.
