Hi, my TACO 007-f5 on my Williamson GWA-067 is not working anymore, can I use a Taco circulator 0010-f3 (1/8 HP) to replace the Taco 007-f5 (1/25 HP) for my Williamson GWA-067 boiler? Thanks

You could but why? It's a tiny boiler, probably way over-pumped with a 007. Could get velocity noise and it costs a lot more with a 0010

At first glance I would say NO. But you can put it on there in a pinch for a temporary fix. The flange bolt pattern and spacing is identical. The amount of water you move is not. This booklet has all the info you need for your decision, explained in easy to understand terms. Start at the beginning on page 4 and read up to page 8. https://s3.amazonaws.com/s3.supplyhouse.com/product_files/108119-Reference Guide.pdf. I read it two or three times, until it sunk in!

After further consideration I would change my answer to YES.

Looking at the pump curve of the 007 and the 0010 pumps, they are similar. At the high head requirement they both have flat curves at about 9 ft of head at the beginning of the curve (zero GPM) the difference is at the other end where the 007 capacity is about 18 GPM or so, while the 0010 will peter out at 28 GPM of so...

But at the 5 GPM that this boiler needs to operate under normal conditions, the head is about the same. less than .5 foot head different which is about .25 PSI difference.

So I would say that you will have a very little difference in performance.

Thanks Robert. As my friend has one 0010 and I can get it for a big discount.

the 0010 and 007 have similar flow and head characteristics, with 0010 slightly better flow and head. as long as you're careful not to exceed maximum 4ft per sec velocity to minimize noise and erosion corrosion you'll be fine.

I had a B&G 100 on my Hydronic Heating System for over 60 years. I've had to rework the Motor to the Pump coupling a couple of times but no big deal. And if any issues they're only $12-20 new.
A couple of years ago I had gotten a Whole House Warranty and the coupling went. So instead of the 15-30 minutes, if that long at all, to fix it myself I was going to use the Warranty. Big Mistake.
I have always though our boiler was running backwards since everything on it was referring to "Gravity Fed" and it wasn't going in that direction. So I thought having a Plumber look at it might be a good thing. Anyway, the "Plumber" and Son show up and without much of any thing in the way of parts on their truck. I was going to have some valves replaced and whatnot. I even had to buy the 1.25" Return Valve since they'd never had one . . . That was a 5 week ordeal with Amazon the only place I could find one.
Well I left them alone to do their thing and that ended up being replacing my $900 B&G 100, or so I have seen the pricing on it lately, with a Taco 007e AND taking my perfectly good 100 with them. The next day I called Taco and got two Engineers on the line and one went totally gonzo that they did that. "I hate it when plumbers replace 100's with 007s!" "They are two different things!" It was recommended that I replace it with one of their larger cartridge pumps, the 0010-FE or the equivalent to the 100 at over $500.
I'm here today to continue to get as much info as I can to do what I need too. Cuz, "We're Freezing our Butts Off!" and never in 60 years has this house never been other than "pleasantly comfortable". AND I have never heard a sound other than a couple of expansion creaks. Now it sounds like the outdoor water is on full.
    Do a ton of research!
