Just another steamy day

Another day in the cold northeast, came up 24” from the top of the boiler with my swing joints and the 2 Cast T to take it to the house, 2 ball valves to turn it off while servicing the boiler. On my return and Hartford loop, I got another ball valve on the wet return to also close it while servicing the boiler with a 2” ball valve with a plug that will be open to blow all that mud and everything right out of there. Gotta love steam

What size are the steam outlets? The manual says they are 2-1/2", and says to pipe from them in that size:

Thank you! I love when installers use valves on the steam outlet. So much easier to check the pop safety and pressuretrols

@Steamhead for money reason I did everything 2 Inch since 2 1/2” just was not going to cut it, if you see my other boilers I’ve installed the one before this was a full 2 1/2 but the price is right, home owner paying for material and was trying to make a big job costly friendly for her as much as I can while also making sure the system will work properly

Not to rain on your parade but i ve seen worse and i ve seen alot better . Im not picking but there's was alot that could have been done easier and ill say for what its worth residential boilers really don't need steam shut off on the supply they really serve little purpose and just bring cost up being they are not for free and that money could have put to better use like increasing the header to 21/2 . personally i never reduce side tapping boilers which i rarely use unless forced . i know the price difference is drastic . at least its done is black hats off for that . not being a nit picker but after close to 40 years i have a clue one would think at least i kind of do . i stay away from offset on equalizers i ve yet to see one in any boiler manufactures diagram, plus i think they look like a turd . but this is me and everyone different possibly after 30 or 40 years of doing this type of work and steam boilers you also will think different when looking upon other work . i find the basic manufactures diagram is really easy to follow without having or running into issues later . please take no offense only being constructive in hopes that you will see a easier ,faster and more profitable way .
ps i still service and install so if you wonder if im full of it take at look at some work ive post from long ago now to say 20 years ago ,i don't post much of my work but some regulars from ions may be familiar w me . main reason i dont post my work basically because there's way to much tire kickers to waste my time who want the gucci but want to pay for fuguzi which is not happening , but i like to help the site so i run a ad and occasionally i ll get some leads which pan out or just another a waste of time and energy but that's life and that's what people do to feel there getting a bargain and done there due diligence .
    peace and good luck clammy
