primary pump on TT Prestige Solo
I have TT prestige solo boiler installed about 14 years ago. The 5 amp fuse has been blowing. The original installer used a secondary pump Taco 0011-F4 to circulate water through the floor system.
He attached the secondary pump to pipe #7 and #9 on illustration figure 7 of the TT trouble shooting guide. The primary pump (HMVCIR02)is capped off at the bottom of pipe #8, so I don't think it is used for pumping water. We are not using the boiler for domestic hot water. A repair man was just here and wants to replace both pumps. I agree the Taco secondary pump is failing , but don't understand how the primary pump is involved.
Can some one explain this to me.

You need to provide a plumbing schematic/diagram of the piping and system components outside the boiler, if you want folks on this forum to be able to help you.0
