Taco pump running but heat not working.

Our Taco circulator is running, in that it’s making a humming noise. But no heat is moving through the baseboard heaters, and hot water doesn’t seem to be moving through the pipes above and below the pump.
Our plumbers refused to wire the pump for us and told us to hire an electrician. We did it ourselves, so we may have messed up the wiring, but we watched a video to do it and got some advice here and it seemed pretty straight forward.
Our pump does not have the spigots for purging air. Instead it had a cap to twist. We loosened it till no more air was coming out.
Any tips for us?
This is a picture of what we used to release the air

Can you show us the rest of the system? If the pump was just installed, there's a very good chance that it needs to be purged of air- this is not as simple as opening the vent cap. Do not run a circulator without flow, the motor is very likely to overheat.

Thanks. Here are a few more pictures. I can take more as well if you need.
Just as an FYI, there are two water heaters. One is for actual hot tap water. The other is for the heaters.

The system needs to be purged of air. Your "plumber" should have done this when the pump was replaced. If I'm understanding the piping correctly, you may be able to do this by closing the red handled ball valve on the left and connecting a hose to the drain valve above it, then flushing water through the loop and back down to that hose which has been run to a drain. This may or may not bleed the air from the loop.

Thank you so much. You were right about where to purge it, so great job figuring out that chaotic system based off a few pictures. 😆 The plumbing company came back to do it— and this time they sent someone who was more familiar with these kinds of systems.  So it’s all up and running and the room has heat again! 🎉
