Freeze condition alarm - System 2000 Digital Energy Manager

I have an Energy Kinetics System 2000 Digital Energy Manager. Every few weeks, an alarm is triggered: the 120F light flashes, and the Monitor light is lit. All service shuts off when this happens.

Based on the manual from Energy Kinetics, this indicates a "freeze condition." But, I don't think that's the case: just turning the System 2000 off and on again causes the problem to resolve.

What could cause the freeze condition alarm to trigger, even if there is no freeze condition? Could it be the sensor, or some wiring? I haven't noticed any patterns to when it occurs.

Thanks for any help!

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

@michaerical most likely the temperature sensor will need to be replaced. Realistically the freeze condition means the water temperature is less then 40 degrees and that is most likely not the case here which points to a bad sensor.
