Air separators- pumping toward /pumping away

Going to put an B&G EAS+ Airtrol into a system. The present set up has the pump on the return (pumping toward).

Airtrol manual has this:

EAS manual doesn't specify

Although I know it's better to pump away, is it really worth repiping to have the pump downstream of the separator? Or is it "good enough" to leave the pump where it is. It's two loops , one pump with balancing valves.

What pump do you have? B&G 100 by chance?
It is always best practice to pump away, but the juice may not be worth the squeeze.

    Not that big. A B&G NRF-22. That's what I'm thinking.

Apartment and in-law (basement) loops off a 4 section little Peerless.

you would need to map or define the piping circuit to build an exact graph like this to see the ∆P.
    Or gauge it up.
    With 12- 15 psi I don't see a big problem.
It's problematic air systems where the pumping away can be life changing.

@delcrossv Remember to use 3/4" minimum pipe to the Airtrol and pitch as steeply as you can. The 1" per 5 foot pitch they specify is a minimum.

Should be going up at a 45 degree angle with this installation. Thanks!
