is air separator needed with air vents on manifolds

I received two estimates for radiant floor heating. ONE WITH AN AIR SEPARATOR and airvents on the manifolds and one with only air vents on stainless steel manifolds. Both seems to be very reliable companies but I wonder if not having an air separator can be a problem.

You must have an air separator. Low temperature systems are the hardest to get air free.
Air vents at high points are mainly for start up or service work. The higher the operating temperature the better air comes out of solution.
I can’t imagine why someone would leave the air sep out? You’ll be back on this list if they doBob "hot rod" Rohr
