How to purge air from radiant heat system

Hello, first time in here, I was hoping someone could help me. I have an EFM pk 500 oil fired boiler. Its old was in the house when we moved in only this past year has it given us problems. The thing is driving me crazy with the air in the radiators. I was hoping someone would be able to walk me through purging the air out and tell me if theres anything I should replace thats allowing all that air to get in the first place.

Hot_rod the cap on the brass vent above the x tank is loose. Boiler pressure is around 12 currently.
if I wanted to go ahead and purge the air from the radiators, what steps would I take. Ive watched videos Im just afraid I let water out and somehow screw it up then im out heat till someone can come fix it. Im trying to learn for myself.
