Radiant heat new bathroom

Hi all -

I'm new here and need some help. I live in an old house with hydronic heating. I'm converting the laundry room into a bathroom with radiant heat. What thermostat should I get to control the radiant heat. It will be the only heat source in the bathroom...

I read some threads where they were talking about outdoor reset/ set it and forget it, while using forced air as well. But all I will have is the hydronic radiant heat...

Plumber is going to run the pipes in the next couple of days. Do I need to have him place a sensor before pouring concrete on top? Or anything else for temperature control?

Please advise.

Tekmar floor sensor , Run a length of Pex behind the thermostat wall and into the floor bed . Cap the end of the length . Feed in the sensor or replace later if needed ..

There was an error rendering this rich post.

Tekmar radiant T Stat with sensor....very simple.  Make sure the radiant output can meet the room heatloss...sometimes it can't and you need additional radiation besides the in mud tubing.  Mad Dog 🐕

This is a nice radiant stat that allows a combination air and floor sensor.

With a floor minimum setting you can keep the floor warm even when the AC is running :)
