We purchased a new/used home and we have never had a radiant heat system before so this may be operator error… we never turn our thermostat on yet our home has been a toasty (too hot) 75-80 degrees all winter. Since the thermostats are off we have to open our windows to regulate the heat. What are we doing wrong?

Interesting. Is the house haunted?
Can you take a picture of the thermostat, the boiler from floor to ceiling and what type of radiant piping/tubing or radiators you have. In other words "Where is the heat coming from?" Is the floor warm?Edward Young Retired
After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

You have a bunch of zone valves, the silver cubes under the green box. One of those could be stuck open. Lights on the green box tell you if the thermostat is calling for heat. What lights are on?Bob "hot rod" Rohr
