Banging end of cycle

I have a 1 pipe system, it runs very well,(thanks to all the support I get from this forum). My issue I have radiator at the end of the heat cycle that always bangs - the radiator itself is properly angled - I’m thinking the noise is making its way from the riser or the main. The radiator is on a riser by itself and riser is in the wall which I cannot see it. It’s not loud but it annoys me - cause I know there is an issue of sorts. I’m not sure if it’s the riser or could it be the main - is there a devise or some way that I can figure the issue. I’m thinking I might have a pocket of water or sludge that is causing it. Any thoughts?

There is probably water sitting someplace it should not. Carefully check any horizontal piping in the basement that feeds this radiator for correct slope and make sure there are no bellies that can pool water. Tou can use an IR heat gun early in a heat cycle to see where the steam seems to be stopping. There may be a short horizontal pipe under that second floor that has lost it's pitch, try lifting the whole radiator up by 1/2" or more and shimming the legs to hold it there and see how that works.
