in Oil Heating
Hello for my oil furnace and hot water heater it’s a zone system. The zone for hot water to sinks and showers is calling for hot water but it won’t kick on. This has happened a couple times usually when I go away for a couple days a heating specialist comes and usually takes him 15 mins to fix and says there was air in the pipes. Wondering if there is any way to help me so I can get it going thank you

You could start by making sure that air vent on top of the supply manifold is closed tight. That's the silver canister that's on the top of the vertical pipe. It's not unheard of for the pump to pull air into that vent and send it to the zone that's calling. Over time there will be enough air in that zone to stop the flow of heating water. Start there.Miss Hall's School service mechanic, greenhouse manager, teacher and dog walker0

Is the boiler losing pressure? Maybe check pressure with a known working gauge, shut off the feed valve and recheck in one week.0
