Propane Regulator failures

Has anyone noticed an increase in LP regulator failures? It seems to me they are not lasting as long as they used to. We see them more now when dealing with the modulating equipment, as well as on systems needing higher inlet pressures. Just figured I would reach out to see if anyone is noticing this as well.

Yes with modern equipment I think we are just noticing the failures more. If the regulator doesn't act quickly enough many times the equipment will throw an error code where older equipment would be content to burn out of spec. I also handle issues that arise from improperly purged LP tanks several times a year now.

I have had issues with moisture in the regulator causing sticking and freezing.

Could modulating equipment be "working" them more?
    More flexing internally on parts.

I wonder if the type of valve that works by modulating the gas flow based on the air flow can transfer turbulence and such as vibration in to the diaphragm of the regulator.
