Tekmar 033 Timer Equivalent Device (For My Application)

I have a Tekmar Model 260 control for my geothermal heating system. I want to run the Geothermal system to run in an Occupied/Unoccupied setting (which the Model 260 allows) but I need a timer to wire to the Model 260 terminal block to allow this. The Tekmar 033 timer is specified, but at $250 this is way more expensive than what I am willing to pay and has a lot of functionality that I just don't need. Can someone recommend something that just does what I want (trip the OCC/UNOCC setting on the 260 control)?

That should just be a make or break connection (not powered). Many options for timers or you can do a wifi thermostat or switch and relay.

    Hello @kenjohnson,
You many be able to use a generic programmable thermostat and a relay to flip the Normally Open / Normally Closed logic to make the 260 happy. Just set it for a temperature that will never be reached and use the timer functionality.
Programmable thermostat switch closed (Occupied), the relay flips it to Open (Occupied) for the 260.

Or I suppose if the programmable thermostat is versatile enough you could use it in reverse. A call for heat when Unoccupied, no extra relay needed.
There are other timers out there, but may be more expensive unless bought 'New Old Stock' or used on eBay or the like.

With the Tekmar 033 you can select the output relay operation.

109 went into alot more detail than I but that is exactly what I was eluding to as far as thermostats. Many of those are limited on number of cycles per day though, I doubt that matters much in your situation just something to be aware of. You might also want to check out a Tork ew. Those have multi volt input to timer and the load side can easily be a no nc setup without a relay.

That Tork timer looks like what I hoped to get a recommendation on - half the price of the Tekmar and has only what I need. I'll download the datasheet over the weekend and check it out. Thanks for the recommendations and advice, @lobuc and @109A_5
