Rinnai Q175S E12 Issue

I had a service guy come over today but he has no clue. We have this unit for about 10 years. I start having issue with error code E12 and it says that supply temperature being too high. The flame starts with blue but after a few minutes I see orange flame mostly. I assumed that the it flames up too much and I am trying to find how to reduce so that flame color would be back to blue and possibly I don't get the error code E12.
Vent is clear, pump is working normally. I am searching for the solution to this. If anyone would help me, it would be great.
Thanks,
Pete

A code 12 is flame failure, it could be something as simple as cleaning the flame rod. If you have had this boiler for 10 and never had a good servicing, it's time. I would try to find a tech familiar with wall hung boilers and owns a combustion analyzer. Things to check, flame rod, remove and clean burners, clean and flush condensate trap, check venturi and finally set combustion.

    Good luck!

Rinnai has very good tech support. Have your service person call them if needed.

Yes they do have good tech support, I spent 9 years with them until I had to retire for medical reasons.

I forgot to add on my original post to check gas supply press and make sure it's not dropping below 4"w. c. under a big demand.
