Disable a domestic water coil?

Is there a way to disable a domestic water coil on an oil boiler from heating the water.
My father's home is vacant and while we need heat we don't need it heating the water?

    Depends on what kind of equipment you have and what kind of controls. Should be easy enough to do for your service provider.
