Kinetics System 2000 water tank fail

I have original since new system 2000 EK1 boiler with water tank.
now approx 20 yrs old.
The tank just recently stopped producing hot water.
everything seems to be operating as it should;
call for heat, zone valve opens, heat exchanger hot going to tank
water from tank cold.
I'm assuming 20yrs is a pretty good run for this.
Is there any way to confirm it is just the age of the tank.
And I'm assuming there is no other tank compatible to use?

    If the tank isn’t leaking it’s probably something else.
    I would recommend you have someone who knows hydronics and especially EK's come in and take a look. Could be something like a bad mixing valve or heat exchanger needing a flush.

    There was an error rendering this rich post.

    Is the 006 circulator running?

    @mtmprop think of the tank as a thermos bottle storing water that has been heated by the boiler, if it is not leaking, it should be fine. From your description and as @STEVEinPA and @HVACNUT have indicted your lack of domestic hot water is most likely not because of the tank itself. It could be as simple as a bad tank aquastat or the plate heat exchanger needing to be back flushed to a bad flow check or 006 domestic circ. If your service tech is not familiar with Energy Kinetics systems, they can call Tech Support at 800-323-2066 and someone will walk them through diagnosing the issue.
