Need to move warm air from above a wood stove about 18 feet down to basement floor

I heat primarily with solar and wood. When my wood stove is hot I'd like to blow the warm air from the ceiling above the stove straight down a duct to my basement floor. It's a pretty easy retro-fit in my floor plan. Each floor is about 750 sq ft. I'd like a variable speed fan. What sort of fan size / cfm will I need? An open stairway easily lets the air return to the main floor.

It's had to say but they make inline booster fans for ductwork like 6" round. I would probably put the fan in the basement to reduce noise.0
