Burnham z21-13a [old boiler!] not working-- any ideas?

I have a Burham ANS Z21-13A boiler that suddenly stopped working last night. When I checked, the breaker [shut off switch] had popped. I restarted it and the boiler turned on but it heard a strange sound like dust or sand passing through it. Then it turned off and now it will not start.

Thank you for any help or any ideas.

Did the breaker trip again? Just guessing because we cant "see" your system from here. Could be the Circulator (pump) is sized up and tripping the breaker.
You will get more help if you can post some pictures.

Here are some pictures of my system. Thank you for answering! It only tripped the breaker the first time. Now the breaker is fine, but still the heater is completely dead.

I will check the circulator pump and post my progress, maybe it will help someone in the future.

would the circulator pump being jammed stop the heater from turning on?

Any other devices on that same breaker? The boiler should be on a dedicated circuit.

    yes, it's on a dedicated circuit. ''

If anyone has this problem, the fix was a bad transformer. I tested the transformer for 24v and it gave me 0, so i bought another one and it worked. Cheers.
