RIELLO BURNER SYSTEM mectron 3M

Hi, I have a Riello Burner System mectron 3m.
The Oil tank was inadvertently run dry. The tank is filled again.
I am quite sure the line has to be bleed. I also have the manual for this burner.
However there is no mention of a bleed procedure or a bleed valve. It is set up as a two line system. Can any one please describe this procedure.
Thank You

If it's set up as two pipe, it will eventually self bleed by resetting it a number of times. But that's if nothing else is wrong with it. A run out can lead to clogged oil line, clogged filter, clogged pump strainer and/or clogged nozzle.
You wouldn't want to keep pumping oil into the chamber if it's not going to ignite.
If it's gravity (probably not if 2 pipe), I'd tell you to crack the oil line nut by the burner (with a pan under it) until oil comes out. Then tighten it up and reset it.
I don't recommend the flashlight trick, the solenoid will remain open the entire time, and no spark from the igniter. So you will continuously inject oil into the chamber.

There was an error rendering this rich post.

You shouldn't reset it more than 1 time. Dose the oil provider have a service tech who can bleed it?

I have a Riello and never touch it and rely on a qualified experience person for past 25 years. On the few times I ran out of oil, he would bleed the air out into a container before restart. Just sayin

Thanks for the comments. After loosening the pressure gauge fixing bolt and resetting with no oil present. It seems logical that filter is blocked on intake line. Probably going with a tech at this point.
