The General Society of Mechanics and Tradesmen of New York is seeking a Commercial Wiring Instructor for its Electrical Technology Program. Classes are held at the Society's Mechanics Institute located at 20 West 44th Street.

Commercial & Industrial Wiring
This course builds on residential wiring and covers commercial and industrial wiring methods, and implementing the NEC requirements. Conductor sizing and various wiring methods and the installation of electrical systems in commercial and industrial occupancies are to be discussed. Topics covered may include: calculating electrical load, switches and receptacles, wiring methods, feeders, electric services, panelboards, voltage drop, ampacity derates, unit substation, feeder-bus system, and also some requirements in the NYC electrical code.

The Mechanics Institute is able to furnish the Instructor with Course Materials. The instructor may adjust the curricula as needed.
