Older wall furnace makes high pitched sound when starting to fire up. Not the blower. Blower hasn’t started yet til it gets hot. It’s lasts about 15seconds as it starts to heat up. It started after 250gallon propane tank was just filled up.Ferrell gas company doesn’t say anything, just want to send someone out. All local repair has bad service reviews. Any help appreciate Thanxs.

Noise from LP appliances can be from several causes. A pressure adjustment at the regulator that feeds all the appliances in the home. A blockage in the gas feed to the appliance. or it could be a sign the regulator in the appliance is acting up. Or it might not be related to the gas or pressure at all. You need someone experienced with LP to look at it.

By law the LP dealer must have a competent person on call in order to respond to gas leaks, If nothing else they can turn off the gas until you get the leak fixed. That is all the competency that is required.

If the LP Company can't get it right, you will need to find someone that is familiar with LP Gas. I wonder if there are other LP gas companies in your area?

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

Found an adjustable bolt to chamber at the bottom of the furnace. Was able to turn it in and stop the howling noise.
