Heat sometimes won't start without running DHW first

I have a Lochinvar Noble combi system and occasionally the heat won't kick on unless I run the DHW first. It has happened a couple times overnight where the house temperature is well below where the thermostat is set but the boiler won't turn on unless I run a faucet with hot water for a few seconds.
Thoughts on what's going on? The boiler is about 3 years old and has been running fine.

Odd situation. Have you had a professional look at it?
Sounds like some sort of wiring or control issue that is intermittent. Does every start cycle for Heat need this DHW jump start?

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

Thanks, calling a professional today, it doesn’t seem to require DHW every time but it typically happens overnight, so maybe we are using DHW enough during the day that we don’t notice.0
