A new technical document that addresses techniques for the safe and proper use of spray polyurethane foam insulation on and around plastic pressure pipe materials has been published by the Plastics Pipe Institute, Inc. (PPI) with input from the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA).

    Wished this warning was published 10 years ago......who would have thunk it was damaging to pex......signed a home owner.

    I just found out about this last Friday at my code update seminar.

    This can cause problems with plastic pipe, plastic conduit and wiring as well. Anything that can be damaged by heat.
