Bell & Gossett NRF-12 Circulators

Good evening fellow board members,

I have 2 NRF 12 circulators (one is a spare unused unit that came from the original boiler system before we switched to the coal stoker boiler with one circulator in a pump module-(thank you Mr. Holohan).

So anyway,

1. the NRF 12 has been operating in heating season service for the last 11 years on the 12 gallons per minute speed setting
a. it does not have a flow check
3. I have 225+ feet of 3/4" fin tube baseboard heating(which I hate due to its low
thermal mass.
4. The house is old and poorly insulated
5. The electric motor runs silently and has not frozen up and kicked off the circuit
breaker which would kill the power to the coal stoker.

I am wondering if I should be looking at replacing it?

Thanks much

I think you mean NRF-22.  If it’s running good, leave it alone.

Hello Big_Ed_4, The heating systemn has a single zone.
I have 225+- foot heating loop controlled by a central thermostat.
The heating loop is also dump zone for excess boiler temperature.

Hello Robert_25, it is my error, the circulator is a Bell and Gossett
NRF-25 circulator. I will leave it in place.
