Tekmar 367 zone always calling for heat

I have a 18 year old radiant system with a Tekmar 367 controller. Worked perfectly until last season when I noticed Zone 1 seemed too warm. This season I see that zone 1 continually calls for heat, even when both wires from the RTU are disconnected from the controller. In test mode, it lights up in this sequence: Pump-6-5-4-3-1 (stays lit) then 2 lights up along with 1. There are no flashing lights or other signs of an error. When either wire from zone 2 RTU is also disconnected from the controller, zone 1 finally stops calling for heat.
Anyone see an easy fix, or just time for a new controller?

Is this part correct?

Yes. Six RTU's controlling six one-stage valves. Zone 1 used to work normally and no changes have been made to DIP switches or wiring.0

To clarify a little more, if either wire for zone 2 RTU is disconnected, but zone 1 RTU wires are both connected normally, zone 1 stops calling for heat, even if I put a jumper on the zone 1 connections and bypass the RTU entirely. And when I go thru test mode with 1 wire disconnected from the zone 2 RTU but all other wires connected, I get pump-6-5-4-3. 1 and 2 don't light up in this test, and again no other errors.0
