I have 2 zones. The upstairs is not getting any heat while downstairs is fine. Replaced the upper thermostat. The valve control shows 2 yellow lights indicating calls for heat.zone 1 red light is on while furnace heats downstairs. No red light for zone 2. The zone 2 baseboard water line is not warm. T h e valve units power supply is open and the unit is hot to touch. Could the power supply unit be burnt out and stuck open? Any other suggestions as to why zone 2 isn't heating ?

@virgb Please give Taco Technical Services a call during normal business hours Mon-Fri 8am-5pm EST 401-942-8000.

You mentioned a control. Do you have a ZVC control? If so, the trouble zone try jumping 3-4 for that zone on the control when it's calling, does that fire the furnace? Give us a call, we are here until 5pm EST.

Validate demand with a jumper across RW terminals on ZVC panel and see if you get a red light, and boiler fires. That will rule out thermostat or identify it as a thermostat issue.
if you have a demand with red light, you can jump terminals 3, & 4 on zone two to see if boiler fires, and that will rule out end switch on valve. Let’s see a post with you happy you fiqured it out…
