Mitsubishi - problem adding Kumo Station to Kumo Cloud

I'm a home owner with a ~1 yr old Mitsubishi minisplit system. This was a partial replacement for gas heat and we had a kumo station installed next to the boiler, wired to the outdoor temperature sensor but not controlling the boiler (deliberately since the minisplit has only partial house coverage). I only recently got this kumo station powered, with the goal of being able to read the external temperature sensor via Kumo Cloud.

I'm able to add the station to my wireless and see the station confirms network connectivity as well as making it past the firmware check. The problem is it never passes the "Awaiting system configuration" stage where it is supposedly talking to the cloud. All my other devices work fine. I've reset this device multiple times and confirmed that my iOS device is on the same 2.4gig network as the kumo. When the setup fails the zone shows a very strong connection to wireless but no cloud access, while I can also see that the station is on my wireless network with a valid address.

Any thoughts on what might be the issue and how to resolve it? Thanks in advance!
