I have never seen aluminum fail either. As you know the branch circuit wiring that failed in the 60s & 70s houses was due to using receptacles and switches not designed for aluminum conductors. Not the wires fault.
Aluminum has been used on pretty near all overhead services and branch circuits for stoves and dryers for yeas and years with no issues.1 -

The fact it's been used in those applications for decades if not almost a century suggests it's perfectly fine when used appropriately.
Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.
