Anyone familiar with or using Mitsubishi wireless temperature sensors

I'm referring to Mitsubishi's PAC-USWHS003-TH-1 (Wireless Temperature and Humidity Sensor) that can be used with a Mitsubishi Kumo wireless interface. It's a small battery powered Bluetooth sensor.
I installed 2 of these about 15' away from the MSZ-FS wall units this week to reduce short heat cycles. They are working fine, just as expected. I really like these little sensors.
But I'm wondering how would I know if they drop their Bluetooth connection? I did try wrapping them in heavy aluminum foil and never got any indication they weren't still working. Do the wall unit and Kumo Cloud quietly revert back to the internal thermostat sensor? What happens when the sensor's battery goes dead?
