Radiant Heating for The Modern Home
This circa-1947 brochure from Kohler makes a great case for hydronic heat. The "radiant" they refer to in the title isn't floor-heating, but cast-iron wall radiators.

Can not thank the person who posted this Kohler catalog enough. I had an old house in Sayville NY, circa 1940, that still heated with steam from an old Kohler furnace, looks like it was the model 'G'. Originally ran off of coal and was later converted to oil. Later I had it converted to gas but increased the size of the fire box to increase the amount of steam Ol' Betsy would produce. Extremely efficient even after 80 yrs of operation once the main line air bleeds were corrected to #2 Gortons etc. Absolutely loved that boiler. Thanks for the memories.2
