suspected clogged cold return

Hi all, I have a gas fired one-pipe system , split into two mains, (front and rear), each with a cold return and the end of the main runs in the basement before they enter the walls. I suspect that one of the returns (front) is clogged as it remains cold to the touch throughout the entire cycle, whereas the other is as hot as the main. The system heats up evenly, and is quiet with no hammer. What is the best method for clearing a clogged return? Any suggestions?

Find a point of entry. Use air or water pressure to clear the blockage. Makes a big mess.

But first, make sure that the pipe is not full of condensate. If it is, it will act as you described.
Check to make sure the pipe is pitched back toward the boiler so condensate can flow back to the boiler.
If you can, blow down the boiler numerous times to create flow.
