Viessmann Trimatic MC

Hi, I have a Viessmann oil boiler that provides heat only and it is controlled by a Viessmann trimatik MC controller. The heating works but despite having repeatedly set the timer to bring the heating on twice a day as per the instruction manual the system is on the whole time and does not switch off at all.
I have been through the fault finding section and there are no faults indicated.
Can anyone help?
