Need Advice Fixing Broken Flow Meters in Hydronic System
seeking_quality
Member Posts: 12
We're updating an old system that has about 10 hydronic manifolds. A lot of the flow meters aren't working anymore. Can we just replace the broken meters, or is it better to get a whole new manifold? If we can just replace the meters, what's the best brand to go for?
Thanks for your help.

Those look incredibly clean, most time they are too dirty to even see the indicator.
Are you sure they aren't turned off. Really not much to go wrong, a spring and a plunger is all it is.Bob "hot rod" Rohr

Bob, that's good news. Incredibly clean is a rare comment. Thank you!0

My guess is that you can carefully remove them, then inspect the innerds (innerds is a technical term) and just clean them up on the inside if there is any gunk on them.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

You kinda need to break them to get inside. Probably easier to buy replacements, if in fact they are damaged?Bob "hot rod" Rohr
