PEX loop idea - smart or not?

What do you think?
Three two inch bits of aluminum at the end of each loop. In my particular case, thirty joist spaces. So that's an extra fifteen feet of aluminum - probably not a huge amount of difference. But if I could have run four extra 48" contiguous aluminum plates I definitely would have. If I have the time (and I probably should work on other things) there's definitely no harm, right?

no to the one the end. The loop needs to be able to expand  and contract

    Got it.
Though at four inches instead of six, it seems even less worth it.

    Leave it. Watch what happens...lol
Why would you do that in the first place?

Think I'm going to do two, 2.5" pieces - an extra 12 feet of aluminum.
