Buderus 5720724 Room Sensor - all LED lights flashing in sequence

We just purchased a home with Buderus boiler for the radiant floor heating system. There is a Buderus 5720724 room sensor on the main room. All four LED lights (including the vacation light next to the image of an umbrella) are flashing in a chasing sequence. When I push one of the buttons (day setting, auto, night setting), nothing happens. Can someone tell me what this flashing sequence means? I assume either the sensor is not working properly or that there is something else wrong. I have looked in the operating manual and do not find anything about error codes or light sequences.

You will need to go in the Logamatic control and switch on room sensor . Down load the manual or call tech support 1(603) 562-1100 . Busness hours eastern

There was an error rendering this rich post.

I have the same issue. Intermittent blinking BFU but not a new system (installed in 2005). Seems to function correctly when not blinking. Changing polarity of wires does not improve it. Replaced BFU, no change either.
    Any ideas?
