Diagram vs Reality (and I need a startup procedure)

Lotsa people in the previous thread were asking to see my actual wall versus just the diagram so they might better assist. I’m happy to oblige. (actual photo to return once I fix my rookie plumbing error)
The wall is nearly complete (I hope). Still need to install some PVC for the pressure relief, condensate and hot water service valve. I’d also like to better wrangle my hanging PEX. The PEX runs to aluminum plates I've installed in the first floor/basement joists. I’m looking for a best practices startup procedure to turn on the whole system.
e.g.
There were a couple of suggestions in the previous thread to bring up the the pressure to 12-15 psi before firing up the boiler. I have no idea how to do this. The only pressure gauge on the whole system is on the front of the boiler itself. I’ll be bummed if I should have installed one somewhere else. The diagram was a community effort. I posted a dozen iterations and I don’t think anyone mentioned a pressure gauge. For fun, there’s an anachronism on the wall from my previous steam boiler. I put it there to confuse the next owner.

- Turn on the water
- Turn on gas
- Turn on boiler
- Procedure to purge air
- Adjust circulator
- Check combustion CO2
- etc…

You can buy a gauge like this. And connect to any of these Webstone valves. Swap a 30 psi gauge onto itBob "hot rod" Rohr

Good to know. I actually have a functioning(?) pressure gauge from my old boiler, look like I just need a hose adapter. Does this mean the gauge on the front of the boiler is insufficient, or is it measuring PSI somewhere else? Further, how am I controlling the PSI? Am I bringing the PSI up to 12 or 20 just by turning on my main valve that feeds the system?hot_rod said:You can buy a gauge like this. And connect to any of these Webstone valves. Sigh. Just noticed a major plumbing mistake. I'll be back in a day or two.0
