Hey all, here is a steam boiler installed by others that I am declustering. 1st photo is boiler without an equalizer and hartford. 2nd post with attachment I just overlaid a drawing of what I envision. Either way we get the minimum A dimension. Hartford will be on lower section of equalizer 2" below the water line. A question I have, do you think we could just change the elbow out that comes at us to a tee and come off run of tee to an elbow down and reduced to equalizer size? Its not how I would normally do it as I usually come off header with steam main at a 45 or vertically. Coming horizontal off header I have rarely seen and am not sure about it. It would make pipe up simpler but wont sacrifice operation for efficiency of piping. 2 cents please? I know I may get a quarter but that's great. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, your picture looks fine. I wouldn't substitute a tee and come off horizontal.0
