Trane XV18 what Trane Home Thermostat Works with this?

Trane® LINK UX360 was the one quoted on my estimate, but I've heard it isn't very good.

Could I use a XL 1050 instead?

Not sure what to ask for, anyone have an ideas?

In order to get the full effect of the XV18 variable speed compressor, you need a communicating thermostat. I believe the XL1050 is a communicating thermostat. You will need to see if it is compatible with the VX18 and your furnace. Ask your dealer. They went to school for that product. Any legacy wiring (R,W,Y,G,O,E,C) thermostat will not operate the variable speed compressor because those thermostats are on-off switch designs. You must use the communicating thermostat or don't get the XV18.
