Rust Hole in Base - Patch it? Replace it?

Good Morning,
I recently discovered I have several decent sized holes along the top of my combustion chamber base. I have since purchased a CO meter to see how much is escaping the system. Assuming CO is escaping, I'd like to either repair or replace the base if possible. Using the service manual, I found a replacement base online for about $350, but I'm not sure how difficult it'd be to replace. What is your recommendation? I think patching it would be the simplest route, but I'm not aware of any epoxys that can handle the combustion chamber temps. Are there any other options I'm overlooking?

@alexh That's a hard question to answer from a picture. However. Safety is paramount when this type of subject arises. I would replace the entire boiler. Sorry for the bad news but in my humble opinion, a combustion chamber replacement or repair probably will not take to the boiler. There seems to be too much damage.
But that's just me looking at the pictures. I would get a second opinion. Have a qualified tech physically look at it.

Any boiler can be repaired but is it worth it . To replace the base the boiler would need to be cut out and attached on the new one .
Was the hole from lack of chamber or rotted out by a leak on the boiler tap .

There was an error rendering this rich post.
