Weil Mclain CGI 4 inducer fan replacement .

in THE MAIN WALL
Does any one have an idea how long a inducer fan lasts? Is this something that should be changed out as maintenance item? My CGI boiler is 7 years old thinking about installing a new one it expensive around $600 but if it fails in the winter probably 10x cost to have a tech come out. Thanks.

    Is it making any odd noises? Bearings squealing? 7 yrs isnt that old for a std fan. Generally speaking there is warning.
    I have had customers hold off even when they are starting to make noise and they last 2/3 yrs...

    No noises always added little oil to bearings and kept dust blown off of fan. Just not sure how long they last. Thanks.

    You don't replace motors as part of preventive maintenance. If you want to get one to have on hand for replacement when the time comes, that's up to you. Very easy to replace. 
    Aren't the motor bearings permanently lubricated?

    The motor has oil ports on both ends. There is a little sticker says to add a few drops seasonly part number 381-356-499. These fans sure get a workout over time. Thanks.
