Boilers NTI FTVN150C Vs Burnham Alta 95% Combi gas boiler

Having new gas boiler installed. Comparing quotes and boiler models, have no experience or knowledge of NTI boilers. My existing oil burning boiler is 25+ year old Burnham V-13A-T. New proposed gas boilers are NTI FTVN150C gas modulating boiler or Burnham Alta 95% 180k BTU modulating Combi. I just want to know if NTI is a good product because I never heard of them. I am favoring the Burnham model because that is what I already have heating my house. But, I would like to know more about NTI boiler and its reputation I know its a Canadian company establish in 1969. Any feedback would be helpful

They are going to be extremely similar, the heat exchangers are most likely made in the same factory. They are both well known brand names. I would suggest you pick this one primarily on who you think would be a better installer, and warranty terms. Ask the installers how close local parts are stocked, and if the distributor actually stocks parts.

NTI is a good product and has a much better track record with high efficiency boilers than Burnham, but this Alta has gotten with the times as it's only been out for a couple years. As GGross said, very comparable units and I too would recommend whichever installer you feel will better support the product.
