Older System 2000 no hot water (resolved!)

So I have an energy kinetics system 2000 an older version. It seems to me that maybe the circulator is not working. I see the thermostat light calling for hot water on the left of the panel but the right side never lights up. When I cycle the system on and off a few times I cannot feel the circulator going on even for a second. My question is is there an easy way to test this to see if the circulator is the problem... The heat in the house seems to be working from the furnace.
Thanks for any input

Is a zone valve being controlled?0

Hello @AaronMass,
I would check the things annotated in red, you may need a multi-meter. HW aquastat (Tank Thermostat). You could power the HW circulator independently. "easy way to test" is very dependent on your skills. If they are the same and socketed the relays may be able to be swapped.

Hello @AaronMass,
"I see the thermostat light calling for hot water on the left of the panel but the right side never lights up."
Does it pass this test ? If not the Energy Manager may have an issue.

Thank you for your question, @AaronMass , and for your insightful posts, @109A_5 .
If it is a Digital Manager as shown in the posts above, when you turn power on to the system, the manager outputs (and lights) should briefly come on; if the domestic hot water light does not come on, then there may be a problem with that output. If that is the case, and you have an open zone, then you can move the domestic hot water aquastat to the open zone (THW to T4 for example), and the output for the domestic hot water circulator relay to the open zone (ZHW to Z4 for example); then set the dip switch for that zone to five minutes. If you don’t have an open zone, then the manager has a core return credit:

AaronMass said:This issue has been resolved...it ended up being the circulating pump / flame sensor dirty. Thanks for all the help from Energy Kinetics with troubleshooting it. Excellent service!
You said "dirty flame sensor", so it's assumed it's gas power burner.
A little cleaning and it's all good... as proven by the combustion report I hope.
If you have oil, and by "flame sensor" you mean "cad cell eye", then get it serviced and running clean because that should definitely not happen. And yes, running clean will be proven by the combustion report, smoke and draft tests.
